Jurassic Quest open Friday-Sunday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A new exhibit called Jurassic Quest opened Friday at the Prime Osborn Convention Center for a weekend of family fun.

The brand new exhibit features 80 animatronic, life-sized dinosaurs ranging from a spinosaurus, two giant T-rex and an apatosaurus for visitors to see.

Visitors are encouraged to witness the most realistic true-to-life, paleontologist-designed dinosaurs in North America.

The exhibit walks visitors through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.

Rides and activities at the weekend show include walking and animatronic dinosaur rides, fossil digs, paleontology and fossil stations, a science station, cinema, dinosaur bounce houses and bungee pull. Kids can participate in crafts, get their faces painted, take a green screen photo with a dinosaur and even play "dinosaur jeopardy."

If big dinosaurs are too scary, the exhibit offers interactive baby dinosaurs found no where else.

Those planning to attend the weekend of dinosaur fun must purchase tickets online. No tickets will be available at the door.
