Rice, slow cookers recalled for fire, shock hazard


A company is recalling its rice and slow cookers because of the incident of the cooker sparking and turning itself on, the company said.

Sherwood Marketing, the owner of the 3 Square brand, reported three incidents involving its products.

One shock injury was also reported.

Of the 3 Squares Tim3 Machin3 and Mini Tim3 Machin3 rice and slow cookers model numbers starting with 3RC and ending in 3010S, 3020S, 3434, 5020 and 9010S are included in the recall.

Consumers can check to see, if their cooker is one that is being recalled by looking at the label on the side of the cooker with the model number.

The company is asking customers to immediately to stop using the product and contact them for a free replacement cooker.
