Garbage disposal recall for 10 brands

Metal component can break, come out of unit

A metal component used in ten different brands of garbage disposals can break off, prompting a recall of some models of Barracuda, Franke, Frigidaire, Gemline, Kenmore, Kitcheneater, Luzart, Moen, Stream33 and Waste King disposals.

This recall involves 3/4-horsepower and 1-horsepower disposals. Recalled brands, model numbers and serial numbers are listed here. The disposal housings were sold in silver, gray, black and blue and have the brand name printed on them. The brand name, model number and serial number are printed on a label on the bottom or side of the disposals.
