Channel 4's Toy Drive for The Children’s Christmas Party of Jacksonville was Thursday. We collected 1,243 new, unwrapped toys, including 29 bicycles, for children up to 12 years old.

Last year, 738 toys were collected at Channel 4. Thank you so much to everyone who donated!

Toys can still be donated after Thursday. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at all Ace Hardware stores in northeast Florida until Dec. 8. Click to find the Ace store near you.

All toys will be donated to The Children’s Christmas Party of Jacksonville. The annual toy giveaway will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. There is no registration, with toys given first come, first served. Children get three tickets that can be exchanged for toys. Some of the tickets are randomly stamped for that child to receive a bicycle. Those attending the party will also get complimentary rides on the Skyway to the Prime Osborn Center, beginning at 7 a.m.

Party organizers are preparing for 8,000 children to attend the party.

The Children’s Christmas Party of Jacksonville is a nonprofit organization. Money is donated throughout the year by local companies and individuals to help buy toys in bulk.
