Jacksonville Landing holds annual tree lighting ceremony

Ceremony includes music, fireworks grand finale

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – People ready to kick off the holiday season headed down to The Jacksonville Landing the day after Thanksgiving for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

The Landing's tree is 56 feet tall and is decorated with 78,000 energy-efficient L.E.D. lights and more than 150 ornaments.

The show, featuring live musical entertainment, took place in the Landing’s Courtyard with the tree lighting and a fireworks display on the St. Johns River followed by a fireworks grand finale. 

Featured artists included Ace Winn, Melissa Smith, Andrew Sapin, Mama Blue, Kalani Rose, Brady Clampitt, Jason Evans and more with special dance performances by Grace Conservatory and Scott Jones School of Dance. 

The event was free and open to the public, and those who couldn't make it could watch the show live on The Landing’s Facebook page.
