Boil water notice lifted for Fleming Island High School

Students had been told to bring water bottles to school for 2-3 days

FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. – A boil water advisory issued earlier this week for Fleming Island High School has been lifted, school district officials said Friday.

The school day was interrupted Wednesday while crews made emergency repairs to a broken water line.

Officials said all restrooms at the school were working, but water fountains could not be used.

"We are encouraging and allowing the students to bring their own water bottles to drink during the day," the district said in a statement.

The district also provided drinking water until the boil water notice was lifted.
