St. Johns County schools to be open Monday

Schools to work with families affected by weather conditions

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – St. Johns County School District schools will be open Monday, the district announced amid concerns of flooding in the area.

District officials said due to some areas throughout the county dealing with flooding, there may be some neighborhoods and roads inaccessible by bus, which could result in the inability for buses to get students to and from school.

Because of that, the district said it will work with families in affected areas who are unable to safely get their children to school. The schools will work with families to ensure content is adjusted for students who are unable to make it due to weather conditions.
