Pomona Park man wins $500,000 in lottery

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A 28-year-old Pomona Park man claimed a $500,000 prize in a Florida Lottery scratch-off game Thursday in Tallahassee.

Chet Thomas bought his winning Money Multiplier Scratch-Off at the Kangaroo Express at 1777 Highway 17 South in Pomona Park.

The $5 scratch-off game features more than 2.4 million winning tickets and $37 million in total cash prizes. There are two top prizes of $500,000 remaining. The game's overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.24.
