The Big Ticket concert goers enjoy live performances by popular bands.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Despite the main stage at Metropolitan Park being closed because it’s in need of major repairs, there will be a big concert at the park this Sunday.

The concert called “The Big Ticket,” will feature popular bands like Twenty One Pilots, Walk the Moon, and Of Monsters and Men, to name a few.

The city had to shift things around, to use other parts of the park. The concern has been the main stage at Metropolitan Park. The stage been closed off because of some structural problems and basically has not been operable.

Some temporary stages are being setup as a pretty big crowd is expected to attend the concert. The city is paying for the temporary stages, but just how much it will cost has yet to be determined according to city officials.

The city plans to do some studies to find out the future of the main stage.

However, for the people putting on this event that has been a concern.

“It through us a curveball, but we've been good by producing another event in the city,” said Charlie Jennings, Big Ticker organizer. “With Welcome to Rockville, we’ve been quickly able to formulate a plan to move the site.”

The Welcome to Rockville concert is slated for next spring in Jacksonville and the lineup will be announced this Sunday.
