JACKSONVILLE, Fla – A test for diabetes is now among the free screenings available at Wednesday's Take It To Heart Day.
Last year, nearly 1,000 people came out to the Jacksonville Fairgrounds to have their heart health screened. Each participate's blood pressure, cholesterol and body mass index is checked. This year the A1C test to check for diabetes was added to the screenings.

People who are not already diagnosed as a diabetic will have the opportunity to be screened for diabetes. Blood pressure levels that are over 140 will automatically be tested for diabetes.
Screening runs 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday. There will also be a farmer's market, CPR and AED demonstrations, yoga sessions, free giveaway and each participant gets a Take it to Heart T-shirt.
