Three more locally transmitted cases of the mosquito-borne Zika virus were reported Friday in Miami-Dade County, as the overall number of such cases climbs toward 100.
The Florida Department of Health said the three new cases are linked to an investigation into the spread of the disease in Miami Beach.

In all, Florida has reported 95 locally transmitted cases of the virus, which is particularly dangerous to pregnant women because it can cause severe birth defects.
The Department of Health also reported one new "travel-related" case in Hillsborough County.
Such cases, which involve people getting infected elsewhere and bringing the disease into Florida, have been the most-common, with 683 reported as of Friday.
The Department of Health also reported that Florida has had 90 cases involving pregnant women and 10 cases involving out-of-state residents.
