Burglary Suspect Mistakes Police Car for Lyft, Gets Arrested

A burglary suspect trying to evade police runs right into them-- and hops into their car.

According to WABC, cops were called to a burglary in Rochelle Park, NJ around 10 p.m. Thursday night. That’s when homeowners found 28-year-old Nicholas Maziot inside, on the second floor.

Maziot went out the window and jumped off of the roof. He tried to getaway by calling a Lyft.

Mistaking an unmarked cop car for the cab, he wound up turning himself in.

Maziot was arrested and was hit with several charges, including burglary and attempted theft.
