YouTuber Etika’s death was ruled a suicide by drowning, the medical examiner determined Wednesday.

The 29-year-old, whose real name is Desmond Amofah, was discovered in the East River near the South Street Seaport. He was last heard from the evening of June 19 and police found items they believed to be his on the nearby Manhattan Bridge shortly after.

Before he disappeared, Amofah recorded an 8-minute video in which he apologized to people he said he disappointed and discussed his mental health.

Now, friends and fans are taking to social media with touching tributes to the Twitch star.
