Moe's to donate proceeds to local schools

'Pay What You Want Day' at Queen's Harbor location

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – One local Moe's Southwest Grill restaurant is wanting to give back to the community during their 'Pay What You Want Day' by donating proceeds to local schools.

The Moe's at Queen Harbor will be donating all funds collected on Wednesday, November 19 from 11am - 9pm. The money will be donated to Alimacani Elementary School and Sandalwood High School.

Here's how it works: You can walk into the restaurant and order anything off the menu, then tell the cashier how much you want to pay for it. Once at the register, you can designate which school you want the money to be donated to. If you don't have a specific school in mind, don't worry. Moe's will split the amount 50/50, and each school will get half of the amount.

Alimacani Elementary School is raising money to build a newsroom and purchase cameras so students there can learn more about journalism. It's unknown right now what Sandalwood is raising money for.

This deal is only specific to the Queen's Harbor location, which is celebrating it's re-grand opening on Wednesday. The Moe's Southwest Grill in Queen's Harbor is located at 12959 Atlantic Boulevard.
