JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – If you happen to be banging your head on your keyboard because your Facebook or Instagram is down, you're not alone.
The social media giants have been faced with worldwide outages since late Wednesday morning.

Facebook users began receiving error messages at approximately 11:10 a.m. and the issue continues to be unresolved. News4Jax users have not reported outages, but Facebook's response time appears to be much slower than usual.
Not all accounts on either Facebook and Instagram have been affected, but major areas around the globe, including Miami and Fort Lauderdale, have reported problems.
