Florida Blue to hire 600 temporary workers in Jax

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – More jobs are becoming available in Jacksonville.

Florida Blue announced Thursday that the company is hiring more than 600 temporary contractors in Jacksonville for the upcoming health insurance open enrollment season.

The positions will provide telephone health plan sales and sales support beginning in August and September, continuing until mid-December. 

Positions also include flexibility to work eight-hour shifts Mondays-Sundays from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. during open enrollment, which goes from October to December.

Ideal candidates should have a 2-40 or 2-15 Florida state health insurance license. 

However, Florida Blue is also hiring trainees that it will provide training and cover the expenses of getting a 2-40 license for candidates who show drive and aptitude to succeeded in a sales role, the company said. 

Agent positions will pay between $14 and $16 per hour, based on experience, in addition to paying monthly bonuses based on performance and attendance.
