2 Men Wanted In Westside Rape ID'd

Men Accused Of Armed Sexual Battery, Home Invasion Robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Two men wanted in the armed sexual battery and home invasion robbery of a Westside woman have been identified, Jacksonville police said.

Police said Terry Lee Smith, 19, and Michael Francis Daniel, 18, used handguns to force their way into the woman's Westside apartment, tied her up and made her perform sex acts earlier this month.

Investigators said the victim answered a knock at her door about 5 p.m. and the two men with guns forced their way into her apartment.

Police said one suspect hit her on the back of the head with a handgun and tied her hands behind her back. She told police that when she told her attackers she had no money, they forced her to perform sex acts.

Smith is described as 6 feet tall and 165 pounds. His last known address is 14493 Hunters Ridge East in Glen St. Mary.

Daniel is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 150 pounds. His last known address is 1591 S. Lane Avenue in Jacksonville. Both men are black.

Arrest warrants have been issued for both men, who are wanted on no bond.
