Juveniles Admit to Camden Co. Arson Fire

CAMDEN COUNTY, Ga. – Two juveniles have surrendered to authorities and admitted to starting a Camden County wildfire that burned 76 acres, according to the Georgia Forestry Commission.

Investigators said the fire was set in a rural area of Camden County on Feb. 23. No one was injured in the blaze and no structures were damaged.

The Georgia Forestry Commission said its highly trained arson specialists analyze on-site evidence resulting from suspicious fires throughout the state, and actively build cases that are used to prosecute those responsible for arson fires. Woods arson is a felony in Georgia.
