JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Last year, it was Loretta Swift. Starting Wednesday, it will be Jamie Farr who will grace the Southside stage.
Farr will make his Jacksonville debut in ?Lend Me A Tenor.? He played the same role at Kansas City?s New Theatre Restaurant this spring, and just wrapped up a show in Toronto where he starred in "Tuesdays with Morrie."
?Lend Me A Tenor? is set in 1934. It revolves around renowned tenor Tito Merelli who is scheduled to appear in Otello as a fundraiser. But before he leaves his hotel room, things begin to unravel.
You may remember, Farr from his role as Corporal Maxwell Klinger in the longest running comedy, ?Mash.? Farr also appeared on the big screen in ?The Greatest Story Every Told,? and ?Cannonball Run II.?
The show opens Wednesday. Show times are 8 p.m. for evening shows Tuesday through Sunday. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the buffet begins at 6:30 p.m. Matinees on Saturday are at 1:15 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the buffet begins at 11:15 a.m. Sunday?s matinee is at 2 p.m. Doors open at noon and the buffet starts at 12:15 p.m. Tickets start at $42 for adults and $35 for children.
