Deputies Want More Info In Killing

35-Year-Old Victim's Husband Already Indicted On Murder Charge

FRUIT COVE, Fla. – The St. John's County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in obtaining more information in the killing of a Fruit Cove woman in May.

Nicole Bush, 35, was found dead in a townhome in the 800 block of Southern Creek Drive when the Sheriff's Office received a call to check on her welfare. Deputies said she suffered multiple gunshot wounds, blunt force trauma and stab wounds.

Her estranged husband, 42-year-old Sean Bush, was arrested in August and has since been indicted on first-degree murder charges in his wife's death. Deputies said they believe Sean Bush acted alone in the killing.

At a news conference Monday morning, detectives said that there's more information they don't have that could help develop the case. They said they're asking for an anonymous tipster who called Crime Stoppers to come forward to possibly help their investigation.

"We're always trying to acquire more evidence, even after an arrest is made," Sheriff David Shoar said.

"I just really wish whoever it is that has any information in this case would please step forward for the family," said Ramone Gregory, Nicole Bush's brother-in-law.

Nicole Bush's family, who traveled to St. Johns County from Tampa, said they're just hoping for justice. Her sister and brother-in-law are caring for her two children, ages 10 and 7, who they said are having a tough time after their mother's death.

"It was a heinous crime, and like the sheriff said, we do believe the right person is in custody, but we do like all information to come forward to help the case," Gregory said. "So if you know anything at all, please come forward. Don't be in fear. Do the right thing."

Anyone with information about the killing is asked to call the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office at 904-824-8304 or Crime Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS.
