JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are investigating a fatal crash on the Southside that happened early Sunday morning.
Officers said 19-year-old Jacob Kane was driving east on Intrepid Lane at a high rate of speed just before 1 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle, causing his car to slide sideways off the road and plow through the back of a home in the Portside Mobile Home Park off Beach Boulevard.

Emergency crews flew Kane to a hospital, where he later died.
Kane lived in the mobile home park.
The elderly man who lives in the mobile home was away at the time of the crash.
