JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man accused of robbing a downtown bank a week ago was arrested after his parole officer identified him as the man in a surveillance photo taken during the holdup, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police announced Monday that Jonathan Mathis, 38, was arrested on Thursday and charged with armed robbery and violation of parole.

Mathis is accused of robbing the BB&T Bank at 200 W. Forsyth St. just after 9 a.m. on Sept. 12. No details of the robbery were provided.
