Deputies were called to a home burglary in the 4000 block of Chester Street in Flagler Estates just after 4 p.m. Thursday.

A 39-year-old woman told deputies that she was on the phone with her husband when she peered out the window and saw three men dressed in all dark clothing with hoodies or T-shirts covering their faces and approaching the home.

The victim called the Sheriff's Office and locked herself in the bathroom and then heard glass breaking, deputies said.

One of the suspects entered the bathroom when the victim screamed, startling the suspect, deputies said. The suspect then fled out of the house with two other men as deputies responded to the home, deputies said.

The three were picked up by the mother of one of the suspects as they walked along a ditch line nearby a short time later but were stopped by deputies just after they got into the vehicle, deputies said.

The three were identified by the victim and were arrested and booked into the jail.
