Acquaintance attacks man, steals pills

Oxycodone prescription gone after attack


PALM COAST, Fla. – A 60-year-old man was knocked unconscious by an acquaintance on Tuesday, and when he woke up, he realized his wallet and pills were gone.

Flagler County deputies said the attack happened at the victim's European Village apartment in Palm Coast about 4:30 p.m.

The victim suffered several cuts to his face. He was taken to Florida Hospital Flagler and received more than 50 staples and stitches to his head and face.

The victim told deputies that his prescription for oxycodone was gone when he regained consciousness after the attack.

Deputies said the man only knew the attacker's first name. The suspect's first name was immediately not released.
