Jacksonville police to auction cars

Nearly three dozen cars up for sale

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Nearly three dozen cars that were forfeited to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will be on the auction block next week.

Police will hold the auction at 10 a.m. on Feb. 9 in EverBank Field, Parking Lot F, which is along Gator Bowl Boulevard between the stadium and Metropolitan Park.

The cars can be inspected between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. that day. The Sheriff's Office said all purchases must be paid in full by 2 p.m. on the day of the sale, with cash or a cashier's check. A $100 nonrefundable deposit must be paid at the completion of each winning bid.

JSO officials said they reserve the right to set a minimum bid on items. All of the cars are sold in as-is condition with no warranty.
