A suprise birthday celebration took place Sunday afternoon for one very special Jacksonville resident.
Elizabeth "Libby" Lowery along with 45 members of her family which included 4 daughters, 8 grandchildern and 23 great-grandchildren and her 102 year old sister from Chattanooga, Tennessee celebrated her 100th birthday today in Mandarin.

Mrs. Lowery is a founding member of the St. Marks Methodist Church and the Outboard Motor Club and was once an avid square dancer.
Marla Bryant, Mrs. Lowery's granddaughter says " You never will see Libby without her make-up or a drink without a straw " A toast was given to Mrs. Lowery as she rang in her birthday.
