Cops: Drunk man fires gun inside house

Suspect registered 0.339 blood alcohol content

PALM COAST, Fla. – A man was drunk when he fired a gun inside his house, Flagler County deputies said.

Deputies said Richard Paladino, 44, was drinking heavily when he fired a gun inside his home on Slowdrift Turn about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Paladino's wife had gone for a walk with their dog, and when she came back, he threatened to shoot the dog, deputies said.

Paladino then fired the gun from the kitchen.

Paladino's wife locked herself inside the bedroom and called 911.

No one was injured.

Paladino was arrested without incident.

Deputies said Paladino registered a 0.339 blood alcohol content.

Paladino's wife showed deputies other bullet holes in the drywall from similar past incidents. Deputies took two firearms and several knives as evidence.
