Orange Park house fire victim identified
ORANGE PARK, Fla. – Fire officials have identified the woman who died in a smoke-filled duplex in Orange Park on Thursday night as 45-year-old Denise Martindale.
Just before 9 p.m., neighbors alerted firefighters to smoke coming from the structure in 500 block of McIntosh Avenue. Orange Park Fire Department Chief Ty Silcox said Martindale was found unconscious and not breathing in the bedroom.
No other structures were damaged and there were no other injuries, although a neighbor was medically evaluated and kept from her unit until the smoke cleared.
