Police: Bus, driver dropped man off at hospital
Investigators trying to find bus, driver after man severely beaten
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are trying to identify and locate a bus and its driver who they said dropped a man off at a hospital last month, then left.
Police said Christopher Brown, 34, of Orlando, was taken to the emergency room at Baptist Medical Center South on Old St. Augustine Road just after 5 a.m. Feb. 28.
Police said a charter tour bus pulled up in front of the emergency room, and the driver entered the hospital and asked for help for someone on the bus. Medical personnel removed Brown and brought him into the hospital, police said.
The driver of the bus left with the bus before police arrived, police said. The victim was and still is unable to speak, police said. They said he was severely physically beaten.
Police said they believe the bus came from the Orlando area.
