Deputies look for missing 15-year-old girl

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – The Nassau County Sheriff's Office is asking for the the public's help in finding a missing 15-year-old girl.

Deputies said Gladdavia Brontee-Monique Mealing was last seen at about 3 p.m. Friday at West Nassau High School in Callahan, where she is a student.

Investigators said Tuesday that they have information indicating Mealing is in the downtown area of Jacksonville. They said all indications are that she ran away from home and may be trying to leave northeast Florida.

An acquaintance of Mealing's recently talked to her on the phone, deputies said.

Mealing is described as 5 feet tall and 110 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing gray sweat pants, possibly a dark hooded sweatshirt and prescription glasses.

She was also carrying a large, overnight-style bag.

The Nassau County Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone with information on her whereabouts to call 904-225-5174.
