Head of city pension fund placed on leave
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The head of the city's general employees pension fund and her No. 2 have been put on administrative leave by the mayor.
They are still being paid by the city but are no longer overseeing the pension fund.
Beth Mangold and Judy Conair were informed Monday of Mayor Alvin Brown's decision.
This comes at a time when the city auditors are looking into the pension fund to see how it's being operated.
The mayor's office said it cannot comment on personnel matters.
