Ford Beginning Foreign Expansion

An American automaker is beginning a big wave of foreign expansion.

Ford is spending more than three-quarters of a billion dollars on a fourth assembly plant in China.

Contruction in eastern China is expected to start sometime later this year. The first cars are set to roll off the assembly line in 2015.

The $760 million investment is part of the company's largest expansion in 50 years.

The announcement comes just two weeks after the company unveiled plans for a third plant in China.
