Investigators said the baby and a 2-year-old sibling were being given a bath by their father. They said he removed the 2-year-old from the tub and left the baby unattended while he went to get a gasoline can for his brother, who had come by the house to borrow the gas can.

When the father returned, the baby had drowned, investigators said.

The case is being reviewed by the state attorney's office.
