Lake City McDonald's held up by drive-through robber

No money taken, no injuries reported

LAKE CITY, Fla. – A man held up a Lake City McDonald's drive-through employee at gunpoint early Wednesday morning, police said.

The employee at the McDonald's location at 491 S.W. Main Blvd. said she had just taken a food order when she saw a handgun come through the window.

She said a black man between 35 and 40 years old with dreadlocks appeared in the window holding a yellow plastic bag. The man demanded she fill the bag with money, but became aggravated and ran away after she told him several times she did not have a key or pass code needed to unlock the cash register.
