Deputies on surveillance in the area responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 100 block of Brookfall Drive at 1:30 a.m. Friday. Investigators said the two suspects were seen breaking into a car in Samara Lakes and were last seen running away.

A short time later, deputies spotted a Toyota car leaving the area and tried to conduct a traffic stop. They said the driver, later identified as Allen, refused to stop and accelerated.

Additional deputies who were in the area converged on the car, which they said then turned into the Murabella neighborhood and stopped. The two were taken into custody.

Allen was charged with fleeing and attempting to elude, obstruction by giving a false name at first, and violation of probation. Grayer was charged with two counts of probation. Both are facing numerous burglary charges as deputies and detectives recovered various items of suspected stolen property from the two.
