Deputies: Man steals 2 TVs from Walmart

Police say suspect may be involved in TV thefts at other Walmart stores

MIDDLEBURG, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a man involved in the theft of TVs from a local Walmart store.

Police said the theft occurred in October at the Walmart located on Branan Field Road. Police said they believe the thief may also be involved in TV thefts at other local Walmart stores in the area.

A cashier who saw the thief described him to police as a white man around 28-30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 200 pounds. He was wearing a green shirt with Jamaica printing across the chest, a white hat and dark jeans, deputies said.

According to deputies, the man walked to the toy department, proceeded to electronics and selected two TVs from a shelf. Deputies said the man walked to the front of the store, through the produce section, and to a register as if he was going to purchase the items.

The man finally ran out of the store with two TVs valued together at $326. Police said the man was seen getting into a grey or silver four-door sedan vehicle.
