Police discover portable meth lab at Southside baseball field

Jacksonville police searching for suspects

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said they discovered a portable meth lab at a park on the Southside Sunday night.

Police said the hazmat bomb squad responded to the baseball field off South Jupiter Road just before 6 p.m. Investigators said they found materials used to make methamphetamine in one of the dugouts.

Officers have not made any arrests and did not give any information about suspects.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
