JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help in finding a van that hit and killed a man on the Westside last week.
State troopers said their looking for a 1985-2005 Chevrolet van with front and/or left rear damage. The vehicle was described as either an Astro or Safari model and was white. It also has a 6-inch blue stripe about halfway up the body of the vehicle.
On the evening of the crash, it was identified as a vehicle seen numerous times on the Westside, troopers said.
Troopers said the van headed east on Timuquana Road just west of Seaboard Avenue about 10 p.m. Thursday struck 46-year-old Kinley Collard, who was walking east on Timuquana. The van then left the scene.
