Wells Fargo bank in South Metro robbed

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Wells Fargo bank in South Metro was robbed Monday afternoon, and Jacksonville police are looking for the man responsible.

Police were called to the robbery in the 3600 block of Philips Highway, just north of Emerson Road, about 3:20 p.m.

They said the robber handed a note to the teller demanding money, then fled out the front door with an undetermined amount of cash. He was last seen running through the Sinsations parking lot nearby.

Police said there were no weapons seen and no one was hurt.

The robber is described as a white man between 23 and 27 years old, between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall, and between 150 and 170 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with blue stripes and blue jean shorts.
