Former FSU basketball star Alicia Gladden killed in crash

Gladden was also assistant coach at Creekside High School

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A former Florida State University basketball player and assistant coach at Creekside High School was killed in car crash Friday.

A spokeswoman for St. Johns County schools confirmed that former FSU basketball standout Alicia Gladden was killed in the crash. She said grief counselors will be at Creekside Monday.

Gladden was a dominant player at Florida State and also coached an A-A-U girls basketball team.

Gladden played at Orange Park High School and won M-V-P in her final three years there.

Details about the crash have not been released.
