No foul play in Northwest Jacksonville death

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No foul play is suspected in the death of a 53-year-old man found dead in a Northwest Jacksonville home on Sunday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Jacksonville Fire-Rescue was called to the home on West College Circle about 9 p.m. in reference to a man down. After determining the man, identified as Costonia Stewart, was dead, they called police.

"The position he was found in and some of the items on him makes it appear to be a little suspicious," JSO Sgt. Shawn Coarsey at the scene, which was initially investigated as a homicide.

No other information was released.
