ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Two St. Augustine men are facing charges after deputies say they got into a physical altercation with three other people over $10.
St. Johns County deputies went to a home on Avenue C near Dixie Highway about 10 p.m. Sunday to investigate a disturbance involving guns and a stick.
Deputies said 39-year-old Shawn Russell approached the home yelling he wanted his $10 and hit a 30-year-old woman in the head with a stick. They said he then hit a 25-year-old man with the stick, grabbed the third person's cellphone as that person was trying to call police for help, and ran off.
Another man, 33-year-old Marcus Russell entered the home and hit one of the victims again and then took off in his car, deputies said.
Deputies caught up with both men later and arrested them. They're facing a list of charges, including aggravated battery.
