JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are investigating after a body was found in a home in Northwest Jacksonville late Wednesday afternoon.
Homicide investigators were called to the 1300 block of Moat Street about 5:20 p.m.

Police received a call about a foul odor coming from the home. They responded and said they found the badly decomposed body.
Police don't know if the remains are of a man or a woman.
The Medical Examiner responded to the scene Wednesday afternoon to investigate.
Police said there would be no further information released about the remains Wednesday night.
