Man shot, killed in Lackawanna area

Police say Ronnie Washington suffered gunshot wound to chest

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are investigating after they say a 24-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday in the Lackawanna area.

Officers were called Saturday afternoon to Nolan Street in response to a group arguing.

Police said they were called back around 5 p.m. in response to a shooting.

An officer found Ronnie Lee Washington, 24, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Washington taken to UF Health Jacksonville where police said he died.

Police are interviewing possible witnesses to Saturday afternoon's shooting.
