Man, 35 arrested in St. Augustine bank robbery

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Police in St. Augustine arrested a 35-year-old man a short time after they said he robbed a bank Monday afternoon.

Officers were called to a robbery at Bank of America at 24 Cathedral Place about 2:20 p.m.

Several officers quickly set up a perimeter while officers contacted bank personnel.

A description of the suspect was relayed via radio, and Officer Joel Jenkins saw a person matching that description walking over the Bridge of Lions, police said.

Jenkins made contact with the man on Flagler Boulevard, and police said two witnesses identified James King as the bank robbery suspect.
