No one was inside mobile home during fire

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – St. Johns County Fire Rescue is working to put out a fire Thursday morning that engulfed a mobile home in St. Augustine.

He said a neighbor called 911 to report smoke coming from underneath the mobile home.

When fire crews arrived, Sara said they saw flames coming from the home and when they entered the home, they saw a fire had engulfed the home.

Sara said no one was home at the time of the fire, but was not sure if anyone was living there at the time.

Crews were able to get the fire knocked down in about 10 minutes, and there were no victims found.

Because of the fire crews quick response, there was no damage to the adjacent homes, which were very close to this structure. There were no injuries reported.

The fire was deemed completely extinguished about 30 minutes after the initial alarm. One lane of SR 207 was closed during the fire due to hydrant use in the area.

The home was believed to be unoccupied, and was estimated to be a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by SJCFR.
