1 killed, 2 injured in house fire

OVIEDO, Fla. – The State Fire Marshal's Office is looking into the cause of a house fire that left one man dead and two others critically injured.

It happened Sunday evening at 3000 East Street in Oviedo.

Seminole County Public Safety Lt. Paula Thompson said three people were inside of the home at the time. All three were pulled from the fire and transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

One victim, a man in his 60's, died on the way to the hospital. Two other women are in critical condition.

Neighbors said one of the women who lives in the home goes to church every Sunday morning, and just before the fire neighbors reported the family's power went out.

The State Fire Marshal's Office will be looking into every possible cause.

Most of the damage is centered around the back of the home, which is also where fire officials believe the victims were at the time of the fire.

One neighbor said he tried to help the victims, but there was a deadbolt lock and he was overcome with smoke.

Officials say it could be several days before there is a cause.
