BALDWIN, Fla. – A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for Baldwin residents.

Town officials said the water was temporarily interrupted Thursday night to reroute a water line for additional rails coming though town.

All water for drinking or cooking should be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute should be sufficient.

As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

The boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. It usually takes about three to four business days to get the results, officials said.

They said they'll notify residents if they need to continue boiling after the fourth day.
