2 finalists named in FSCJ presidential search

Public invited to attend finalist interviews scheduled for Oct. 2-3

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida State College at Jacksonville College President Search Committee says it has named two finalists to be considered for the position of president of FSCJ.

The committee said Friday the finalists are Dr. Cynthia Bioteau, president of Salt Lake Community College; and Dr. Garrett Hinshaw, president of Catawba Valley Community College.

The FSCJ District Board of Trustees will conduct interviews of the college president finalists in special Board meetings.

Dr. Hinshaw will be interviewed Oct. 2 and Dr. Bioteau will be interviewed Oct. 3. The interviews will be held at the College's Advanced Technology Center, 401 W. State St., Rooms T-140 and T-141.

Each interview begins at 3:30 p.m. The meetings are open to the public, according to the committee.

The Board will review and deliberate the final selection during the regular Board meeting scheduled Oct. 8, beginning at noon in the College's Administrative Offices, 501 W. State St., Board Room 405. The committee said this board meeting is also open to the public.

Members of the public will be invited to make comments related to the selection of the new FSCJ president during the Oct. 8 meeting, prior to the Board taking action on this item.
