JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 49-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced Wednesday afternoon to life in prison for a child sex crime.

Floyd Rupp was convicted last month on four counts of sexual battery and one count of lewd or lascivious molestation of a minor.

In January, the victim reported multiple sexual encounters she had with Rupp since 2006.

Throughout that period of time, Rupp touched the now-14-year-old victim inappropriately and repeatedly forced her to have sex with him; the most recent time being in January.
